The Art Of Good Writing

Unlike "The Art Of Computer Programming"  by D E Knuth This Article is totally useless & senseless.  Here I am going to express my views on good writing.

Good writing by definition may be something like, the one which pleases the readers & conveys its message correctly. You need three things to make your writing good & interesting.  First is IDEA, second is deep understanding of that idea & third is Appropiate words to express your idea.

In order to get worthy ideas for writing, you should read as much as you can (that need to be good too). Then you should be able to catch the ideas which you think you understand in depth & you want to convey them to others. But this is not always true. Because some exceptions are always allowed & sometims you can get the ideas in bathroom, in dreams or may be all of a sudden.

Once you have the idea with you, think over it to shape it in a way you want to intimate it to  others. Because it is the presentation not the idea that will enforce reader to take interest in your article. Presentation should be simple & straight forward considering the fact that readers can be of varing background & knowledge. You can learn this from others, by minutely observing their way.

Third & the most significant part of any writing is words selection. Some readers get boared when they see repeating lines, recurring words & out of context examples & This situation can be avoided by chosing the appropiate word for that context. More important is that consistancy should be maintained in terms of difficulty level of words being used. Try to avoid uncommon words & phases.

But frankly speaking it is very hard to learn something like this by mere reading. Our writing skill depends upon the circumstances/society we live, the people we talk. So the only way to produce effective writing is to keep on writing your thoughts & learm from your own mistakes.

Satisfaction or money???

Here I am again with my own disappointment with my job. I have heard that no body in this world is satisfied with his/her job. but no body told me ever the reason. but life tells you many things you call experience. & thats how you come to know various untold truths.

Waking up by ten.. coming to office by eleven...checking various mails...taking too much time to answer some of them...watching market to go up & down like small tides in the beach. talking to same dirty fellas everyday. receiving frustrating corporate calls from various agents. is in short is the episode of my daily life which keeps on recapping itself evryday.

Satisfaction is similar to happiness that can only be pursue but can never be achieved (from pursuit of happiness). I should rather say that happiness comes when you are satisfied with your life. but other than these two the most essential thing you need is money. You can deny you responsibility towards yourself but you cant for others. you can not simply let go someone else's expectations for getting happiness. This is the money who compels someone to do various terrifying things so why am I so foolish to expect satisfaction while earning it.

Not getting any more right now... continued......

JOKER - Special tribute from NDTV

Indo-Asian News Service

Tuesday, July 29, 2008: (New Delhi):

Special: The Dark Knight

Late Australian actor Heath Ledger didn't care too much about being famous. In The Dark Knight he gives an electrifying performance as Joker with make-up smeared on his face.

It is easy to forget, watching his performance, that he was a handsome 28-year-old man when he died. In 2005 he played a gay cowboy, a role that was turned down by many top Hollywood actors because it was too risky. In 2001, his breakthrough performance was in Monster's Ball playing Sonny. He had a brief but intense role.

Ledger, throughout his tragically cut short career, stayed away from the pretty boy roles that could have easily bought him fame, and instead wanted to be a serious actor worthy of his talent and craft. For that, Ledger will go down in movie history as a legend.

In what is easily the most talked about performance of the year so far, Ledger playing the Joker dug into the souls and psyche of a mad man who abides by no rules and relishes in the mayhem chaos can create.

He took on a role that could have spilled into a caricature and injected it with just enough intellect, insanity, unpredictably and even charm. We will never get to see him again, and so this is a good a time to consider the great work he has done.

Ledger made his first real impression in 10 Things I Hate About You in 1999. Watching him then one wouldn't have been wrong to think he would take the road of the young Hollywood heartthrob going to take on roles where he would have to do nothing more than look good and exude some charm.

In his next two movies, The Patriot in 2000 and A Knight's Tale in 2001, he didn't have to plumb any depths of his talents and sought more to entertain.
He could have cashed in on the chocolate boy status the media heaped on him for his performance in The Patriot, but he chose to not go down that road.

In 2001, he showed his true ability in a brief but touching performance as the tormented Sonny in "Monster's Ball". He appears in less than half the movie but the portrayal of anguish hangs over the other characters as they seek to move on with their lives.

Then in 2005 he co-starred with Jake Gyllenhaal in the Oscar winning Brokeback Mountain. He earned his only Oscar nomination for this performance. It is a brilliant portrayal of a man unwilling to live up to love that is true and deep within him.

Ledger pulls back incredibly and the best scenes are those where he doesn't utter too many words.
It is a portrayal drawn out from the centre of a yearning, anguish and restraint coiled up in the pit of the stomach. It could go down as the performance of his career.

Though blessed with talent, Ledger made some wise decisions to become a better actor. He loved experimenting, was ambitious and teachable. He allowed to be mentored by veterans like Mel Gibson, Billy Bob Thornton and Geoffrey Rush. He was a keen learner who soaked any wisdom and knowledge coming his way.

We are fortunate to have had a young actor take the craft of acting seriously and blessing us, even in death, with a performance that will haunt us long after the manic laughter of the Joker dies out in "The Dark Knight".

stockmania

After applying for 4 times finally on this tuesday I got my password from ICICI direct , so I am also stockomaniac now. from yesterday my most visited site is moneycontrol & icici direct.
Although I am into this fever still I dont know why everyone want something out of nothing. Why all want to earn money exponentially. I have always considered this as a lottery or in precise words gambling, but now I am also into it willingly or unwillingly I dont know.
This is not the first time I am doing sth which I hated most. I think i did most of the things ,following the others. but I always wanted to do eth special , different than others. but I failed.
